Jewish Recovery Houses
ABOUT

The mission of Jewish Recovery Houses (JRH) is to help Jewish men and women in the early stages of recovery from alcohol and drug addiction.

We provide safe, welcoming and compassionate sober living facilities and an environment where the residents can develop the skills they need to live a productive life- free from the ravages of addiction.

The JRH Program is centered in 12 step recovery, supplemented with a common spiritual community based in Jewish traditions, and supported with individualized outside resources. We are breaking new ground in the field of addiction treatment as we build the foundations that allow our graduates to continue to grow and prosper, free of addiction. Our "community as method" brings together people from a common background seeking a common solution to their common problem. We help our residents become reacquainted with the ethical and spiritual perspectives of Judiasm as a means of finding and maintaining a relationship with a Power greater than themselves.

Our homes are located in the center of thriving and welcoming Jewish Communities offering synagogues, hospitals, community centers, transportation, and employment opportunities. Our homes are families for our residents as we seek to integrate and orient the whole individual in a real world setting . Over time, our residents become productive members of the community, often returning to the families and careers they lost to addiction.
