JRH Mourns the loss of founding board member Phil Klein
02/01/2010
It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss, on January 28, 2010 of our dear friend and major supporter, Philip E. Klein. As a founding board member and 2008 honoree, Phil made his support of and dedication to our work one of his major priorities. We will miss him terribly. He “walked the walk” each and every day and believed that a life well lived included saving others – some who we get to meet and some who we will never know….

Thanks to Hadassah
Once again, our angels at the ORA Group of Hadassah Greater Baltimore has made Hanukkah brighter for our JRH men and women. As they did last year, they have gifted our residents with personal care and grooming needs that are so desperated needed. Many times our men and women come to us with only the clothes on their backs and are grateful for any help they received from the Jewish Community. Thanks again, ladies. You are truly angels!

FUNMITZVAH PARTY
11/12/2009
13 is our lucky number!
More than 400 people turned out for the Jewish Recovery Houses' Nov. 7 "Funmitzvah" celebrating our 13th year.
Nationally-acclaimed comedian/entertainer extraordinaire Sarge brought down the house with side-splitting laughs while the band Spiral had the audience dancing in the aisles.
And no Funmitzvah would complete without food, glorious food!
Special thanks to all who helped to put the fun in this mitzvah and helping to support the Jewish Recovery Houses.
